A Morning Walk

This morning I left the house for a morning walk and did something, I am somewhat ashamed to say, that I have have not done in far too long. I took a camera.
Inspiration came from the light, a thin fog layer and beautiful fall colors right out my door.
There was really no difference in how I looked at things, I always study the landscape, but today I had my camera set to small jpeg and got to make photos. Coming from someone who rarely, if ever, makes a photo of anything without people, it was a joy to shoot things that did not move. Within 3 minutes of my door I made photos of things I saw beauty in, saw my village as an amazing landscape, and felt like I did when I was learning to be a photographer living in Tuscany 12 years ago.
I’ll be going right back out tomorrow morning.
