The workshop location. Kleine Scheidegg above Grindelwald, Switzerland
Adventure Sport Photo Workshop Grindelwald Switzerland
We are excited to announce that we’ll be partnering with fellow Switzerland based American photographer, Matt Anderson, director of the Viewfinder Center for Photography, for a Mountain Sports Photography Workshop. Matt is a friend we have worked with before on our own shoots and someone we’ve known from the outdoor & climbing community. Together we’ve prepared a workshop for aspiring mountain sports photographers that will offer knowledge from our 14 years experience working fulltime in the outdoor industry.
The result is an intensive two day workshop in arguably the planet’s most beautiful setting, Grindelwald, Switzerland. We’ll stay at the famous Kleine Scheidegg, directly beneath the Eiger North Wall. This is a location Janine and I know well as we have photographed a number of assignments, and stock, in this very location.
Topics during the course are designed to strengthen skills in understanding which locations to shoot, and why. How to work with people in action photos, how to best take advantage of the compositional elements you find while in the mountains and how to begin seeing images that will translate into strong photographs. Time will also be spent explaining digital workflow; editing, image processing, and presentation. There will be a fun introduction show by Dan & Janine on the first night to give a glimpse into life as a full-time mountain sport photographer.
The workshop is August 3-5, 2012 and is expected to quickly sell out.
